Randy Dryer
Board of Trustee Member for the University of Utah

Randy Dryer is a member of the litigation department in the firm Parsons, Behle and Latimer, located in Salt Lake City. Mr. Dryer has extensive expertise in media law and has represented virtually every major news organization in Utah as well as many national news organizations, including 60 Minutes, The New York Times, and the Associated Press. After working for KSL TV News as a reporter for 1½ years, he entered law school in 1973.

Mr. Dryer lectures frequently on the subject of the First Amendment and has served as an associate instructor at the School of Mass Communications and the College of Law both at the University of Utah. He was elected president of the Salt Lake County Bar Association in 1986. In 1987, Randy was elected as a commissioner of the Utah State Bar and became president of the Bar in July 1992.

Most recently, Mr. Dryer has served as the chairman of the Utah Sports Authority, which was charged with developing the facilities for Salt Lake City to host the 2002 Winter Olympics. Mr. Dryer also serves as a trustee of the University of Utah.
