Amicus brief filed by the Center for Governmental Studies in support of Respondents. The purpose of this amicus brief is to highlight for the Court the constitutional, beneficial impacts that voluntary public campaign financing programs have had throughout the nation. This brief explains why public campaign financing laws with and without matching funds provisions have a significant history of serving governmental interests long found to be important by this Court.
