BCRA Sponsors File to Intervene in WRTL v. FEC

On March 6, 2005, the Campaign Legal Center filed a reply brief in WRTL v. FEC . The brief urged the Court to allow three of the BCRA sponsors and Rep. Tammy Baldwin to intervene in the case on the grounds that the original motion to intervene was timely, and that the interveners have standing in the case. In this suit, which is on remand to a three-judge court from the U.S. Supreme Court, WRTL has brought an as-applied constitutional challenge to the electioneering communications provision of BCRA.
