CLC sent a letter to the DOJ informing them that CLC intends to file suit seeking a court order that would require the government to stop its unlawful delay in complying with our FOIA Request. The FOIA Request was approved for expedited processing. The request asks for information about the DOJ decision to reverse its policy on private prisons and whether the financial support that certain private prison companies had provided to President Trump's candidacy and inauguration played a role.

CLC signed onto a letter to the Committee on Homeland Security, Committee on Oversight and Government Reform to urge them to release a routine annual report on White House personnel for the purposes of public accountability and transparency.

CLC's General Counsel Larry Noble co-authored a letter expressing deep concern about the unusual arrangement that Ivanka Trump has in the White House as an unpaid employee with no title or salary.

This document was released to the public as a result of a FOIA request about the Conway appearance on cable news when she promoted Ivanka Trump's clothing line. The letter was sent by the White House to ROffice of Government Ethics (OGE) about the White House's planned course of action.
