CLC filed a complaint with the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia on April 11, 2018 to compel U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to release documents that disclose their operating agreements with a prison in Washington State. This information would reveal whether the private prison operator GEO Group is a government contractor, which would make their contributions to the pro-Trump super PAC in 2016 illegal.
