Litigation Strategy Council

The Campaign Legal Center has assembled a team of renowned, experienced Supreme Court litigators to participate in a Litigation Strategy Council. The Council provides an invaluable forum for exploring legal issues and providing constitutional insights concerning money-in-politics issues. It includes four former Solicitors General of the United States.

  • Debo Adegbile

    Partner at WilmerHale

    Debo Adegbile is a partner in the Government and Regulatory Litigation Group of Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP. He serves as Co-Chair of the firm’s anti-discrimination practice group. Mr. Adegbile’s broad practice focuses on a range of matters at the intersection of law, business and government policy. Mr. Adegbile has significant experience in commercial, government-facing and appellate litigation, as well as in investigation and strategic counseling in high-stakes matters.

  • Jessie Amunson

    Partner at Jenner & Block

    Partner at Jenner & Block in the Appellate and Supreme Court Practice and Co-Chair of the firm’s Election Law and Redistricting Practice. She has been recognized as a “Rising Star” in appellate and constitutional law by Washington DC Super Lawyers.

  • Catherine Carroll

    Partner at WilmerHale

    Partner at WilmerHale, where her practice focuses on appellate litigation in the US Supreme Court and the federal courts of appeals, as well as district court litigation and client counseling in matters raising complex legal questions. She has argued cases before the US Supreme Court and the US Courts of Appeals for the First, Second, Ninth, and District of Columbia Circuits.

  • Walter Dellinger

    Professor of Law at Duke University

    Douglas B. Maggs Professor of Law at Duke University and head of the appellate practice at O’Melveny & Myers in Washington, DC and currently leads Harvard Law School's Supreme Court and Appellate Litigation Clinic. He served as the acting US Solicitor General for the 1996-1997 Term of the Supreme Court and was an Assistant Attorney General and head of the Office of Legal Counsel under President Bill Clinton.

    Anita Earls is the founder and Executive Director of the Southern Coalition for Social Justice, a non-profit legal advocacy organization in Durham, North Carolina.  She litigates voting rights and other civil rights cases in partnership with community-based organizations.  Anita previously has served on the North Carolina State Board of Elections and the North Carolina Equal Access to Justice Commission.
